Why temporary fence for the UK market

Built for CDM 2015 sites and the UK hire-fleet standard.

Temporary fencing is mandatory on virtually all UK construction and civil sites under CDM Regulations 2015. Our panels are dimensioned to match the UK hire-market standard — 3500×2000 mm — so they integrate directly with existing UK clamp, foot, and bracing systems without adaptors or modification.

3500×2000 mm Standard UK panel size

The dominant UK hire-market dimension. Compatible with all standard UK clamp types, rubber feet, and bracing systems — no custom adaptors required.

3.0 / 4.0 mm Wire gauge options

3.0 mm infill for standard construction and event use. 4.0 mm heavy-duty for high-traffic, long-duration, or exposed sites.

HDG · BS EN ISO 1461 UK weather-rated finish

Full hot-dip galvanising to BS EN ISO 1461 provides the corrosion resistance required for British coastal and inland environments, and expected by UK principal contractors.

200–240 panels Per 20 ft container

Panels nest efficiently and feet stack separately. One 20 ft container covers most single-site requirements; LCL available for smaller orders.

Foot type selection

20 kg rubber feet are standard for the majority of UK construction and event sites. Concrete ballast feet are recommended for exposed, roadside, or high-wind locations where panel stability is a concern.

Panel gauge selection

3.0 mm infill wire is sufficient for standard construction hoardings, pedestrian exclusion zones, and short-to-medium duration events. Upgrade to 4.0 mm for demolition sites, high-traffic zones, or rental fleet where panels are handled repeatedly.

Finish route

HDG only is the standard for hire fleet and construction hoardings. HDG + powder coat is available in green, black, or white (specify RAL code) for architect-specified or public-facing installations.

Available components

Full temporary fence system scope — panels, feet, clamps, gates and accessories.

All components are sourced from the same factory to ensure consistent quality and compatible dimensions. Order the full system in one RFQ for the most competitive unit pricing.

Fence Panels

3500×2000 mm HDG temporary fence panels in standard (3.0 mm) and heavy-duty (4.0 mm) wire gauge. Fully compatible with UK hire-market clamp and foot systems.

Rubber & Concrete Feet

20 kg rubber feet are the standard for UK sites. Concrete ballast blocks are available for high-wind and exposed roadside applications. Both types are compatible with standard UK panel feet rails.

Swivel Clamps & Braces

Single-bolt swivel clamps connect panels at any angle. Diagonal bracing feet provide end-of-run stability and resist panel tipping under wind load or crowd pressure.

Pedestrian & Vehicle Gates

Pedestrian gates: 1000 mm clear opening, matching 2000 mm panel height. Double drive gates: 4000 mm clear opening for vehicle and plant access. Both with hinge posts and drop bolts.

Privacy / Debris Mesh

HDPE knitted screen mesh in 50%, 70%, and 90% shade factors. Colours: green, black, and white. Meets site hoarding requirements for construction and event applications.

Anti-Climb Topping

Razor wire coil extensions and tilt-brace panel toppings for secure site perimeters. Specify when site security or theft deterrence is a project requirement.

UK applications

Where temporary fence is used across UK construction, civil engineering, and events.

Temporary fencing is one of the most widely deployed site perimeter products in the UK. Every construction, civil engineering, and outdoor event project requires it under CDM 2015 and site safety regulations.

Construction Site Hoardings

Pedestrian exclusion zones, site hoardings, and perimeter demarcation for commercial, residential, and infrastructure construction. CDM 2015 compliant perimeters for principal contractors.

Road & Utility Works

Highway, rail, and utility corridor protection. Temporary fence defines work zones, protects the public from construction hazards, and manages pedestrian and vehicle separation on live roads.

Festivals & Outdoor Events

Site demarcation, backstage and artist area security, crowd management, and ticketed zone separation. Compatible with festival-grade ground anchor and bracing systems.

Demolition Site Perimeters

Hazard exclusion zones and public safety perimeters for demolition projects. Heavy-duty gauge recommended for sites where panel handling and site traffic are intensive.

Sports & Race Events

Crowd control barriers, event compounds, and spectator exclusion zones for races, marathons, and sporting events. Quick to deploy and reconfigure between event phases.

Temporary Yards & Compounds

Site compounds, storage yard security, and equipment perimeters. Emergency response and flood barrier support structures for utility and infrastructure operators.

UK shipping & logistics

Getting temporary fence from factory to your UK site or port.

Temporary fence panels pack efficiently into standard 20 ft and 40 ft containers. We support FOB, CIF, DAP, and DDP incoterms and prepare the full export documentation package including GB customs clearance support.

Felixstowe

Primary UK entry for East Anglia, East Midlands, and North England sites. 20 ft and 40 ft HC containers; LCL available for smaller orders.

Southampton

Preferred for South England, South West, and Southern Wales delivery. Competitive transit times from Chinese manufacturing hubs.

Tilbury (London Gateway)

Greater London, Home Counties, and South East England. Good for metro-area site delivery and project cargo handling.

Bristol (Avonmouth) & Immingham

West England, Wales, and North England project sites. Useful for projects where western or northern port routing reduces inland transport costs.

15–20 days Stock lead time ex-factory

Common questions

FAQ — UK temporary fence procurement.

What is the standard panel size for UK hire fleets?

3500×2000 mm is the dominant UK market size. Most UK hire companies and contractors use this dimension as their base stock. Our panels are manufactured to this size as standard, making them directly interchangeable with existing UK hire fleet inventory.

Are your panels CDM 2015 compliant?

CDM 2015 sets site management obligations for principal contractors, not a specific panel standard. Our panels meet the dimensional and structural requirements expected by UK principal contractors. We supply test reports and mill certs to support your site compliance pack.

Do you supply to hire companies or only project buyers?

Both. We regularly supply hire fleet top-ups (500–2000 panels) and single-project site packs. Minimum order is typically one 20ft container. LCL can be arranged for smaller pilot orders.

Can I get privacy mesh at the same time as the panels?

Yes — HDPE knitted debris and privacy mesh in green, black, and white is available as a line item. Specify shade factor (50%, 70%, or 90%) and colour in your RFQ. Mesh is typically sold by the roll but can be cut to panel height.

What is the typical lead time?

Stock items: 15–20 days from order confirmation. Custom spec or large volumes: 30–45 days. Sea freight to UK main ports adds approximately 25–32 days from Chinese port of loading.

Do you provide a landed cost estimate?

Yes — include destination port and incoterms preference in your RFQ and we will return a full landed cost breakdown within 24 hours, including sea freight, insurance, and GB customs duty estimates.
